OUR GOALS AND BELIEFS

Our aim at Talkin' the Drum is to bring the magic of music to a broad cross section of the community through the teaching and performing of African rhythm. We hold in highest regard the fact, that while rhythm is universal and therefore owned by every body, the drums and rhythms we play are the cultural property of the African people who created them. Full respect and ongoing connection to these people is therefore of vital importance.
